Sometimes the painful effects of auto accident injuries don’t show up until days, months or years later. Be sure to get examined by a healthcare professional as soon as possible after a car accident.

Repetitive Strain
If you repeatedly use the same part of your body over and over in your work, you may develop strain. Computer operators, typists and musicians sometimes develop pain in their wrists, fingers or hands. The strain may also be experienced as numbness and tingling sensations in joints, or as neck pain. The medical name for this condition is Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS). CTS can easily be diagnosed and treated.
If your occupation requires any repetitive activity such as working at a computer all day and you are experiencing pain or numbness in your hands, wrists, forearms, or shoulders, or if you have ongoing headaches, you may be suffering from a disorder known as RSI (Repetitive Stress Injury).
RSI occurs as a direct result of performing repetitive tasks such as typing on a computer or working on a factory assembly line. RSI can be the underlining cause of CTS (Carpal Tunnel Syndrome). Symptoms of CTS include tingling and numbness in your hand, fingers, and wrists. You may also experience severe pain in your upper arm, elbow, shoulder, and neck.
At Accident & Injury Chiropractic, we can diagnose and treat CTS, while alleviating your pain. If you think you may have CTS, don’t put off treatment. Schedule an appointment with Accident & Injury Chiropractic today!
